TRAVEL & LODGING

Our wedding venue is in the town of Driftwood, just over a half hour drive from central Austin. For those not from Texas, it’s in the region that’s referred to as the ‘Texas Hill Country.’ That means—rolling hills, swimming holes, and expansive live oaks.

For those flying in, we recommend flying into Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) (36 min drive from venue). If it’s notably cheaper, you can also consider flying into the San Antonio International Airport (SAT) (1.5 hr drive from venue).

We recommend staying in the Hill Country, closer to the venue if possible. The events are about thirty minutes from central Austin—a commute that will add up. That said, if you have been dreaming of exploring Austin, you can stay in the city and then drive or catch ride shares out toward the event venues.

For those wanting to stay in Austin…

We have a room block in Austin for those wanting to stay in the city. We are able to get additional room block rooms as they fill as availability allows. So, please book the hotel as soon as possible so that we can request additional rooms if needed. Keep in mind Austin is expensive and our wedding is in ‘peak season.’ We highly recommend booking travel as early as possible.

For those wanting to stay in the Hill Country…

We recommend looking at airbnbs, vrbos, and other rentals near Driftwood & Dripping Springs. Wimberly is also an option, but note the drive will be a bit longer and down dark, windy roads at night. There are a number of camping options: text Erika (713-703-6504) about a free camping option near the event venues, $20/night at Camp Ben McCulloch (11min drive from venue), or see options on HipCamp. In terms of hotels within Dripping Springs, we recommend the Courtyard by Marriot.
